Dubrovnik really comes alive at night. As night falls, the city comes alive, and there’s a great selection of bars, restaurants and clubs to choose from.

The City (the walled area) is the main hub of the action, as it has been since time immemorial. As the sun goes down, more and more people – locals and tourists alike – begin to converge in this distinctive part of the city. After taking a stroll up and down the main street, it’s time to take the weight off your feet in one of the many bars, and enjoy a drink or two.

The bars in Dubrovnik may be diminutive in size, but they don’ t fall short in quantity, character and friendliness. Practically every street in the city is home to at least one or two venues, and if they are full, it is customary to wait on the street, where the waiter will come and find you to take your order. The atmosphere out on the street is sometimes even better than it is inside! Most bars and clubs stay open until at least 1am, and some later still.

You can choose from more the intimate bars just below the City wall, or for a night out on a grander scale, head to Bunic Square, where there are lots of outside spaces where you can relax and watch the world go by as you enjoy a refreshing cocktail. If you want to be near the sea, head down to one of the several beach bars along the front. There are several jazz cafes and the music from these drifts across the city, adding to the truly unique atmosphere. A night out in Dubrovnick will certainly be another great memory of your Croatia sailing holiday for years to come.
