One of the best things about a Croatia sailing break is being able to see so much of this beautiful country throughout your stay. Being able to travel to different islands and regions means you see the best the country has to offer, and one of the must-see places is stunning Mljet.

See Croatia - Visit top tourist islands

There is much to enjoy here, but chief amongst its attractions is its true natural beauty. The majority of Mljet is populated by picture-perfect forests, vineyards and fields, and it is no wonder that much of the island is preserved and protected as a National Park. Within its boundaries, the park is home to not one but two lakes of natural salt water, and this not only means breath-taking scenery, but it also provides the opportunity for a number of water-based activities.

Its position as one of the southerly Croatian islands means that the climate is temperate almost all year round, making it the perfect place to simply relax and enjoy the scenery. There is plenty to explore in the welcoming towns and secluded coves, or you can simply take your time to soak up the sun on one of the many secluded beaches. It’s the perfect place to unwind on your perfect sailing trip.
