Stunning scenery. Tranquil waters. Sightseeing. Shopping. Watersports. The list of reasons to visit Turkey is actually endless, and many holidaymakers enjoy this destination because it offers a holiday for everyone. From sunbathing to nightclubbing, whatever your idea of holiday heaven, Turkey offers it.

And for those who would like to experience even more of this beautiful country, sailing Turkey is a great way to experience a whole range of adventures and activities. One of the most picturesque regions is western Turkey. As you sail along the Lycian and Carian Coasts you will notice the glorious turquoise waters and marvel at the stone tombs carved into the cliffs as you pass. The country is home to many archaeological and historical sites – it is even believed the tomb of St Nicholas is there. That’s Santa Claus, or Father Christmas to most of us. Ancient cities sit next to breathtaking beaches, with lots of tiny coves, bays and inlets dotted along the way for you to stop and explore. You can also take in the famous market town of Fethiye, full of bustling life, busy restaurants and thriving nightlife.

Try a little snorkelling or scuba diving, taking in the colourful marine life which lies beneath the surface or visit the seven mile Patara Beach for some beachcombing, sunbathing or swimming.  It really is the perfect way to relax and unwind, forgetting about your work and your responsibilities for a while as you float around in the sunny Mediterranean climate.
