Enjoy Greece sailing around Ermioni’s beaches
Small but perfectly formed is the best way to describe the popular tourist spot of Ermioni, perched on the water and overlooking the calm, clear waters of the Aegean Sea. While Ermioni itself has few stretches of sand to relax upon, the wider area is nothing short of paradise, with sandy coves, pebbled stretches and blue seas that reflect the best of Greek island scenery and are perfectly situated for anyone on a leisurely Greece sailing break.
For somewhere so small, Ermioni certainly has a lot to offer in the way of variety with its shoreline. Those after busy beach time can enjoy Lepitsa, a spot popular with locals and equipped with everything from sun loungers to fish tavern, or enjoy one of the privately owned stretches of coast, such as the beautiful paved areas of Makis Inn or the Blue Flag awarded Plepi, both to the east of Ermioni.
However, the real crowning glory is the quiet beaches Ermioni keeps hidden away from general view, which offer visitors the chance to discover a slice of real Greek life by the sea, complete with fishing boats, small, family run restaurants or simply plain,, uninhabited stretches of shoreline. Amongst the best spots are Doroufi beach, Franchti beach and the magical sands of Kounoupi.
