Sailing Holidays In The Med

While the world is your oyster, the pearl is without doubt Europe and the Mediterranean which provide the perfect backdrop for any sailing adventure. With calm turquoise waters and a range of cultures to explore en route, little can beat it in terms of beauty and variety. Whether you are on the hunt for traditional culture, modern nightclubs, water sports or museums – the region caters for every taste.

In Greece, explore the islands scattered across the azure Ionian, Aegean and Saronic Gulfs, taking in quiet fishing ports, ancient sites and stunning natural landscapes. Just a few miles further, the coast of Turkey calls. The Carian and Lycian coasts offer unspoiled scenery and ports with enough to entertain everyone from young to old.

Meanwhile, sailing holidays in Italy are, like their French neighbour, all about the glamour. They come complete with volcanic terrain, romantic cities and, of course, a cuisine that is a firm favourite. After all, what could be more enjoyable than enjoying a pizza in the shadow of Renaissance greats!

Croatia is a relatively new addition to the sailing circuit but an undeniably ideal one. The nation and its many islands located just off the mainland are the perfect spot for both beaches and bar hopping. With so much to discover, it is little wonder that the country has quickly become a fixture for anyone seeking water based adventure.
