Croatia is home to an interesting, vibrant and varied nightlife. If you are joining the Croatia sailing  scene, this is well worth checking out when you come back to land. Bars and clubs abound, including many with a truly unique character. In fact, the Croatian nightlife scene as a whole has something of a unique character, and this character is welcomingly laid-back. This is particularly true if you choose to hit the clubs. There are a few formal, have-to-be-dressed-right, classier clubs that have bouncers, private rooms and a dress code, but compared to most other parts of the world these are relatively few. For the most part, Croatian clubs welcome you to come as you are, and allow you to make yourself at home at the bar, a table, or on the dance floor.

As for music, there’s a huge variety on offer and you are sure to find a club that suits your tastes. Some clubs like to blare out rock or electronica from the dizzyingly-fast hands of expert DJs as they spin their decks while others prefer to play jazz, soul, or local Slavic music. These are just a few examples – there really is something for everyone.

If straightforward bars are more to your taste, the range on offer is just as diverse. Irish theme pubs, classy cocktail bars, and simple, traditional bars serving great beer are just a few of the establishments you are likely to come across. Drinks are relatively cheap in Croatia, especially beer, but if you prefer something a little more sophisticated, many of the bars have staff who know how to mix an excellent cocktail.
