The image of Croatia holidays may have been spoilt by the war that ravaged the country some years back. Many people would hesitate to put Croatia holidays on their list of priority destinations for this reason. The other reason that makes people not want to enjoy holidays in Croatia is its relatively low commercial activities. However, many people may not realize how much they miss by not visiting this Adriatic gem. The war is now long over, and Croatia is getting things back in order. It can be one of the options that one can take and meet one’s holiday needs.

People taking Croatia holidays will find the  rugged coastline beautiful. It has many tiny islands that add to the beauty. The waters are crystal clear and the settlements on the green hills along the coastline form part of the wonderful view. If one goes for holiday in Croatia it will offer unique architectural designs, breathtaking natural magnificence, picturesque villages, and secluded beaches with wonderful views. These holidays will provide relaxation and tranquility as the country is not famous for partying. However, this does not mean that the fun loving traveler will not enjoy the holiday as there are night spots in the larger cities that provide the required entertainment.

Croatia holidays will not be complete without island hopping that allows people to appreciate the coastline’s staggering splendor. There are harbors along the coastline and the red roofs of the villages seem to be an extention of the cliffs. If you are keen on  a destination where you will be able to party the whole night, then you need to move Croatia holidays up in the list of preferred holiday destinations. There are no traces of the war that have made the country notorious in the past few years. It is an ideal destination for one who wants to enjoy some peace and tranquility, far from the hustle-bustle of everyday life.

As you prepare to take your Croatia holidays, it is good to know some things about the country. The currency of Croatia is the Kuna though the Euro and the US dollars are received as a means of exchange. However, you need to be alert because the traders often give change in the local currency irrespective of the currency you pay in. It will not be easy to work out the exchange rates in your head, and in most cases, you will be the loser.
