There are so many beautiful islands to visit when sailing Croatia’s seas, but one of the most picturesque has to be Korcula.

Croatian yachtting holidays - Friends and fun at sea

The island is easily accessible by boat and is representative of the many beautiful stopping points along Croatia’s Dalmatian Coast. At the island’s centre is Korcula town itself – visitors will find exploring the town on foot the best option, and there is plenty to see and do. Walking the walls of the original walled city, holidaymakers have their choice of winding streets to discover and a plethora of bars, cafes and restaurants in which to sample some of Croatia’s finest cuisine.

If you are looking for the perfect beach on which to unwind, take in the scenery and soak up the sun, then Korcula has plenty to offer. There are a number of beaches on the island with secluded coves for swimming and crystal-clear seas to bathe in. Featuring the distinctive Croatian white pebbles, these beaches are the perfect place to relax.

Using Korcula as a starting point, visitors may want to go further afield and see some of the other traditional Croatian fishing villages and towns that line the magnificent coast. Whether you stay in Korcula or move along the coast, this area is a must-see on any sailing trip.
