Calm clear seas, beautiful blue skies and golden sands… sounds like an idyllic holiday? Well it is, until the family right next to you start arguing, the kids start screaming, the toddler splashes you, and that’s the end of your relaxing time on the beach. But if you’re going away with a group of friends, you don’t want to end up somewhere totally remote with nothing to do and nowhere to go.

Well, here’s a great middle ground. Sailing. It’s a brilliant way of getting together with friends, having some peace and privacy when you want it and finding some great places to go and socialise in the evening. If you do decide to go sailing Turkey is one of the most beautiful coastlines to travel around. You can discover all kinds of hidden coves and beaches where you can relax in peace, plus there are some great towns to explore along your route if you fancy some shopping, eating or drinking.

Watersports are often a great feature of a sailing holiday, too and you can try your hand at scuba diving, snorkelling, water polo, water skiing or just enjoy a bit of swimming.
