Sailing. Isn’t that a lot of ports and starboards and hoists and booms, taking years to understand and then costing the earth to buy a boat and all the equipment?

Well, it can be. Or it can be the best fun you’ll ever have if you let someone else do all the hard work for you. If you think a sailing holiday is going to be spent with you fretting over maps and worrying about tides then think again. All you need to do is gather a group of mates and charter a boat with a skipper. Then relax.

A skipper will be fully experienced in sailing the particular area you choose, and they can chart your course expertly according to where you want to go, what you want to see and where you want to stop and explore.

They will usually have lots of good local knowledge, so they can give you plenty of advice about the best places to see and any hidden gems which might not be in your guide book.

A sailing holiday is one of the best ways of getting a holiday everyone is happy with. You can sightsee, explore, relax, sunbathe, play sports, eat, drink, dance – a combination of everyone’s perfect holiday all rolled into one.
