The Art Of The Sailing Holiday
The secret to a fantastic Mediterranean sailing holiday is balance. One of the best features of the Adriatic and Saronic seas MedSailors explores in the sultry summer season, is that they contain plenitudes of cosy bays to soak in serene sunsets, but MedSailors also offers you every opportunity to get out on the town and have a blast at some of the best night spots on any island hopping sailing holiday!
Very important tips for your sailing holiday bliss:
1. Go your own pace. The joy of going on a sailing holidays with MedSailors is that we allow you to take your holiday at your own pace. We go when and where you say so. So if last night was just too much for you, don’t feel bad about taking tomorrow easy, relaxing on deck while we slowly make our way to the next stop.
2. Rehydrate for energy! Drink lots of water first thing in the morning and again before you head to bed. The summers are scorching in the Mediterranean and if you are partying it up as much as we think you might be, water is crucial to getting you geared up for the next days fun and activities, not to mention your next night out!
3. Slather on your sunscreen, as many times a day as you can. We have seen many a shipmate suffer with the nasty effects of sunburn. It can potentially dampen your spirits on your sailing trip, so be careful!
4. When you start think you could spend eternity stretch out on the deck of your yacht, gazing into the distance, snap out of it! It is all too easy to fall under the spell of the sea’s seductive lullaby, rocking you gently back and forth. Before you know it your holiday will have disappeared in a haze of afternoon naps. Get out and explore the islands. There are so many ancient and beautiful monuments to see on all our routes, you would be silly not to get out in port and dig your heels into local culture and the delicious food!
