Korcula Old Town is one of those destinations that requires picking your jaw up off of the ground upon arrival as it’ll leave you in awe every direction you turn. This fortified town with high cannon-topped battlements is the perfect destination to get lost amongst the fantastical scenery. Allow your imagination to run wild through the flower-draped alleys exploring art galleries, having cocktails atop a 15th-century watchtower, and wine and dine yourself in one of Croatia’s best food scenes.

3. Mljet, Croatia

The lush pine-tree blanketed island of Mljet is one stop not to miss for the outdoors lovers. The highlight is exploring two turquoise saltwater lakes by mountain bike, which is an easy paved loop trail taking you through the vibrant pines. Take a break and hop on a short boat ride to explore the ancient Benedictine monastery on an island in the center, with a gelato and a dip in the water to cool off in between! On the island, you can also explore the secret cave of Odysseus from Greek mythology.
