Enjoy a Snorkelling Experience Like No Other on a Greece Sailing Trip

There is so much to see and enjoy on a Greece sailing trip, but one activity that you really must try is snorkelling. Even if it is something you’ve experienced before, the welcoming blue waters of Greece are simply perfect for exploring under the surface – with all kinds of sea creatures and stunning wildlife on the marine bed, it’s something you will never forget.

But if you do want to give snorkelling a go, it’s advisable to follow these guidelines in order to make the most of the experience. Firstly, it’s a good idea to take it slowly when adventuring under the sea. The last thing you want to do is scare away the wildlife before you get a chance to see it, so move cautiously and try to avoid too many sudden gestures. If you do this, you will be more likely to see everything the seas in Greece have to offer.

Secondly, make sure you are clear as to which sea creatures are friendly and which are less so. You don’t need to worry about anything too dangerous, but it’s worth steering clear of things such as weevers and scorpion fish, as they can leave a nasty sting – the last thing you want when you’re enjoying a holiday on the seas!

Lastly, it’s worth snorkelling early in the morning or just before the sun goes down, as this is when the waters will be at their quietest. And if you are snorkelling directly from the deck of your own boat, there’s nothing to stop you from enjoying the waters at their very best.
