Sailing in Greece Provides Plenty of Places to Explore

By MedSailors Crew published on 6 December 2015

Situated to the south-west of Athens, Agistri is home to some of Greece’s most beautiful beaches. It’s an idyllic location, and there is something for everyone in this picture-perfect corner of the Greek islands.

Greek island cruises - Unmatched beauty

One of the most beautiful beaches can be found in Skala village. Popular with tourists and locals alike, the village is a great place to pick up supplies for the day ahead on the beach or to enjoy the many hotspots late into the evening.

Surrounded by iconic Greek pine trees, Dragonera is another of Agistri’s gems. Perfect for keen swimmers, the beach provides plenty of secluded coves in which to bathe, dive and take in the beautiful views framing the sea. Quieter than Skala, Dragonera is a great choice for those looking for some peace and tranquillity when sailing in Greece.

Although the approach to our final choice is somewhat rocky, it is worth the effort to enjoy what awaits you at the end of the track. Limenaria is the perfect place for early birds, as the water in the morning is perfectly calm and welcoming. The sea here is crystal clear, and the dramatic rocks which encircle the water make it a truly memorable place in which to spend time when onshore.
