Taking Care of Your Skin When Sailing in Greece

By MedSailors Crew published on 11 November 2016

One of the most exciting things about holidaying abroad is the prospect of returning home with a sun-kissed glow. But more often than not, this can too quickly turn into a nightmare of sunburn and embarrassing tan-lines – so make sure you follow these tips in order to get the results you are looking for.

Sailing in Greece - Stay safe in the sun

When you’re enjoying sailing in Greece, it’s easy to be swept away by the excitement of the Mediterranean sun. Lasting from early in the morning to late in the evening, it can be difficult to resist the urge of staying out all day and making the most of the sun’s rays, but this is not the best way to build a golden tan. It’s important to give yourself a break, especially around midday, and when you do so remember to use after-sun or a moisturiser in order to keep your skin looking great.

Alongside the moisturiser and after-sun in your packing, there is another must-have: sun-tan lotion. Sun care is equally important for those who are lucky enough to tan naturally and those whose skin needs a little more care and attention. As such, it is worth taking the time before you embark on your sailing adventure to make sure you have the correct sun-care regime for you.

There’s no point looking forward to your holiday only to have it ruined by the pain of sunburn, so follow the tips above in order to make the most of your time away.
