What to take on your sailing holiday - Things you will need for your sailing trip

Your Sailing Trip Essentials

Sunburn is the actual worst, so make sure you’ve got a healthy supply of sunblock alongside a stylish sun hat and your favourite sunnies to protect your precious peepers.

It’ll likely get a bit breezy on deck, so a light jacket or windbreaker will keep you comfy and a tube of lip balm will look after your lips.

As well as your fave swimwear, don’t forget your beach towel and some comfy shoes to see you through the exciting explorations and adventures that await.

Also, ditching the hard suitcase in favour of a soft bag will give you a bit of extra wriggle room in your cabin.

A Capsule Wardrobe

As lugging around a massive suitcase is definitely not enjoyable, opting for a capsule wardrobe of stylish and practical pre-planned outfits should stop you from over packing. Light layers are the way to go; think tees, tanks, shorts, a couple of light jackets, and some activewear to see you through some early morning hikes.

Oh, and don’t forget your undies!

Toiletries

Alongside your toothbrush, toothpaste, antiperspirant and a hairbrush, pack whichever toiletries will make you feel comfortable. You might want your favourite shampoo and conditioner on hand to tame your tresses, but if you know a can of dry shampoo will see you through, you do you!

If you’re a planner, you might want to have easy access to bug spray and motion sickness medication. If you don’t need it yourself, you might come to the rescue of one of your boat mates, who will probably love you forever.

An Additional Miscellaneous Checklist

• Camera
• Cables
• Power block
• Reading material
• Earplugs and an eye mask

Lastly, don’t forget your sense of adventure and let’s get sailing!
