ULTRA Europe 2026 Festival Guide: Line-up and How to Do It Right

By Ryan Brown published on 11 March 2026

ULTRA is one of the biggest festivals in Europe for 2026, and it's already looking better than ever. The first headliners are already out, and it is a strong start: Calvin Harris, Martin Garrix, Fisher, and more are already on the board, with plenty of other great names still to come. So yes, the hype is real. Also, yes, the line-up is subject to change, as always.

If you are planning ULTRA, the smart move is not just asking who is playing. It is asking how to do the whole trip properly. Because the people who have the best time at ULTRA are usually not the ones winging it in Split three days before.

This is your guide to the ULTRA lineup, how to do the festival right, practical tips, and Croatia insights. Let's jump in.

What is ULTRA Europe?

New to ULTRA? It's not new to the EDM scene. ULTRA Europe is one of the biggest electronic music festivals in Europe, held in Split, Croatia, and this year it's happening across 10, 11 and 12 July 2026.

Think huge headline sets, late nights, big production, amped crowds, lasers, fireworks, and that very specific buzz you only get when everyone knows they are at one of the biggest weekends of the summer.

It is not some niche little beach fest. It is full-scale.

What is the ULTRA Europe Lineup for 2026?

The Phase 1 headliners already tell you what kind of year this is going to be. Some return names, some new faces, some taking over the EDM scene. But all look to be perfect for this experience.

  • Calvin Harris brings massive festival moments. Big tracks. Big singalongs. Big crowd pull.
  • Martin Garrix is classic ULTRA energy. Emotional drops, hands in the air, and one of those sets that feels made for a summer night in Croatia.
  • John Summit and Dom Dolla are there for the people who want the current hot names and a set that feels fun from the first minute.
  • Fisher and Mau P are made for chaos in the best way. If your ideal festival moment is your whole group losing it at once, this is your lane.
  • Sara Landry and I Hate Models push things darker and harder, which is very good news if you like your festival with a bit more bite.
  • Miss Monique brings the melodic side. Worship is there for the drum and bass crowd.

So no, this is not a one-note line-up. It already has range and something for everybody. Stay tuned for more names to be dropped in the weeks leading up to the festival.

Is the ULTRA Europe 2026 line-up good?

That's a matter of opinion, but in the EDM scene, it's pretty amazing.

This is the kind of line-up that works whether you are deep into dance music or just want a huge summer festival with names you actually know. It has proper headline power, current crowd favourites, and enough variety that your whole group does not need to like the exact same sound. You'll hear sets you know and absolutely love, and fall in love with music and musicians you've never heard before.

That matters, because the best festival trips are not built around one set. They are built around everyone having someone they are excited to see.

How to do ULTRA Europe right

This is where people either absolutely nail the trip or make it way harder than it needs to be.

First, do not leave it too late. Flights go up. Good options disappear. Group chats get flaky. Suddenly, you are paying more and settling for worse. Or that crew you had to come with make other plans.

Second, do not build the whole thing around just attending and surviving the festival. It should be about your summer thriving moment, the unforgettable. Three nights of ULTRA are fun. Three nights of ULTRA with no pre/post plan, no decent base, and no recovery time is another story.

Third, make Croatia a part of the point. This is not a city festival where you just show up, go hard, and leave. Split is the start, not the whole story. And it's an epic place to explore around and head out from for more adventure.

That is the difference between a festival weekend and a proper summer trip.

How to get tickets for ULTRA Europe 2026

Still thinking it over? If you know you want to go, do not leave it to the group chat. ULTRA Europe tickets are available through the official site, and the smart move is sorting them early before flights and Split stays start climbing too. These range from €229 on the current tier pricing or €499 for VIP, and up to €2,999 for a combo on an ULTRA cruise.

If you want the easier version, MedSailors ULTRA tour includes the 3-day ticket and builds the festival into a full Croatia sailing trip. So it feels like a proper summer experience rather than three huge nights and a scramble around Split. Plus, as of March, it's now €411 off!*

Attending ULTRA tips: book flights and accommodation early

ULTRA Europe 2026 runs from 10 to 12 July in Split, right in peak summer. That means flights, decent hostels or guest houses, and well-located stays can get snapped up fast once line-up hype builds. ULTRA tickets for 2026 are already on sale, and the official site also notes prices are subject to availability.

If you want the smooth version of this trip, sort your flights and where you’re staying early. Waiting around usually means paying more, staying further out, or ending up in a place that looks cute on a map and then turns into a daily taxi mission.

Best areas to stay in Split for ULTRA Europe

Where you stay can make or break the weekend. There are hostels in Split old town to choose from, guest houses and BnB's dotted around, or large group rentals you can book for the whole crew. But this is one of those times where you don't want to wait until you arrive to sort out a stay, because there'll likely be nowhere.

Old Town / Diocletian’s Palace area

Best if you want to be in the middle of everything. You’ve got the Riva, bars, restaurants, and major city sights right there. The city’s historic core is centred around Diocletian’s Palace, which is the heart of Split for first-time visitors. The old town area has tons of hostels to choose from, but these get booked out quickly. Don't wait on them.

Bačvice

Good if your group wants beach time, a social atmosphere, and an easy base near the city. Visit Split describes Bačvice as the central city beach and says it is especially popular with locals and young tourists looking for fun.

Veli Varoš

A great shout if you want something with more charm and more of that old Split feel. Visit Split highlights Veli Varoš as one of the oldest neighbourhoods, known for local architecture and original local atmosphere.

Near Marjan

Solid if you want a slightly calmer base and don’t mind a bit more walking. Marjan is one of Split’s best outdoor spots, with walking, cycling and viewpoints close to the centre.

Trogir

About 30 minutes by taxi from Split, Trogir is an option for those who want to experience an ancient Croatian town without the press of bodies in busy Split laneways. Accommodation and hostels are cheaper here, and there are public buses are only a couple of euros into Split.

Stay On A Yacht

As a part of our ULTRA Island Hopping tour, your accommodation is sorted from Saturday onward. You'll be living on a yacht about a 30-minute bus from Split city centre with a ready-made crew of awesome people you'll be sailing with after the festival.

The sweet spot for most ULTRA travellers is staying somewhere central enough that you are not wasting energy on long journeys home after the festival.

How much should you budget per day for ULTRA Europe?

This depends a lot on how you travel, but Split in summer is not the place to show up with no budget plan.

A recent 2025 Split budget guide puts a mid-range daily budget around €80 to €120 per day, excluding major splurges, with typical ranges of €70 to €100 for accommodation, €25 to €35 for food, €5 to €10 for transport, and €10 to €20 for drinks or entertainment.

For ULTRA, a realistic mindset is:

  • Budget extra for festival drinks and late-night food
  • Expect central accommodation in July to feel pricier than a normal city break
  • Leave room for taxis, beach clubs, boat parties, or recovery brunches
  • Pre-game in town, on the yacht, or in your accommodation to save
  • Make breakfast and lunch at your hostel/accommodation to save
  • MedSailors ULTRA includes breakfast, and you can have BYO lunch supplies and drinks onboard

So if you want a simple working number, most people should not be shocked by €100 to €180 a day in Split during ULTRA week before the big add-ons, and it can easily go higher if you’re doing VIP tickets, big nights out, or last-minute bookings. That range is an estimate based on current Split travel-cost reporting plus peak festival timing.

What to pack for ULTRA Europe

You do not need to overthink it, but you also do not want to turn up unprepared in Croatia in July. Functional clothes are important, and not just the EDM or rave gear. We've got our own packing guide for Croatia island hopping after ULTRA, but here are our festival quick picks:

  • A secure waterproof pouch for IDs, cards, and passes.
  • Festival tickets/bands and booking confirmations.
  • Lightweight clothes for hot weather.
  • Comfortable shoes you can actually stand in for hours. Streets are cobbled, so think twice about heels or platforms.
  • Sunglasses, and maybe a backup pair.
  • Sun cream (it's expensive in summer).
  • A portable charger (Important).
  • A small bag/sling that fits festival rules.
  • Electrolyte packs and some type of power bar.
  • Something light for the journey home at night.
  • Swimwear, because this is Split and it would be criminal not to swim.
  • Flip flops/jandals/sandals/thongs. Whatever you call it, bring it.

The smart play is packing for both halves of the trip: festival chaos and Croatian summer. That means one outfit for the headline set, another for the beach, and shoes that are not going to ruin your mood by day two.

What is entry into Croatia like?

Croatia is in the Schengen area, so entry rules depend on your nationality. The Croatian Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs says non-EU nationals who need a visa for Schengen need a visa for visits of up to 90 days in any 180-day period, and UK travellers should check the current Schengen travel rules before travel. So the simple advice is:

  • Check your passport validity.
  • Check whether your nationality needs a visa.
  • Do not assume rules are the same as a few years ago
and double-check official Croatian or Schengen guidance before you fly.

That section is worth keeping practical rather than too detailed, because entry rules vary by passport and can change.

What to do in Split before or after ULTRA

Split is not just somewhere you pass through on the way to the festival.

The obvious starting point is Diocletian’s Palace and the Old Town, which sit right at the centre of the city experience. Then there’s the Riva promenade, Marjan Hill for views and a reset, and Bačvice Beach if you want a quick dip or an easy social beach scene. Visit Split’s own one-day guide points people first to the Palace and city core, then to Marjan and Bačvice.

There's also Game of Thrones film locations in Split if that's your thing, and further afield, Krka National Park just a 45 minute bus ride away.

From Split, it's easy to hit islands nearby if you have a few days before or after your trip.

Why pair ULTRA with an island hopping tour

Because it just makes sense. ULTRA brings the madness. The islands bring the balance and continue the good vibes at sea.

  • ULTRA Festival is easily sorted for you
  • 3-Day festival pass is included
  • Your accommodation is sorted for a week from Saturday to Friday
  • That hostel social energy, but on a yacht
  • Built-in new friends on multiple yachts
  • BYO lunch, snacks, and drinks all week with no extra fee
  • A festival and island hopping guide to show you the best spots
  • Days exploring the best Croatian islands, secluded bays, and island afterparties

One minute, you are in a packed crowd for a headline set. The next day, you are jumping off the boat, tanning on deck, docking somewhere unreal, grabbing drinks in a harbour, and talking nonsense with new mates before doing it all again.

That is why the Croatia setting matters so much here. You are not just going to a festival. You are doing one of the biggest music weekends in Europe in a place that already feels made for summer, and then combining it with an epic group trip around the Croatian islands.
