Your meeting point will be at the Alimos Marina Charter Village.
Our team will meet you here on Saturday from 11 am. Your guest experience leader will drop a pin for the exact check-in location on arrival day. You can drop your bags off, meet the crew, and get ready for your trip. Arriving early will give you plenty of time to head to the local supermarket and pick up your favourite drinks, snacks, and lunch supplies.
You will board your yacht between 12pm and 2pm. We recommend arriving at the marina no later than 1pm.
From your meeting point, you will head to your yacht for check-in, meet your Skipper, get settled, and complete the safety briefing on board.
Your yacht will return to your check-in location between 1 pm and 3 pm on the following Friday. All guests must check out by 5 pm at the latest.
We recommend downloading WhatsApp as your main point of contact with the crew before and during your trip! You will be invited to join a flotilla WhatsApp group two weeks before your departure to connect with your fellow travellers. The crew will join this group chat the day before departure to address any last-minute questions about your arrival. Prior to this, your crew will be busy focusing on their current tour group.
If you have any questions prior to the day your tour departs, please contact the office customer service team:
EMAIL: hello@medsailors.com

Alimos Marina is located 50km from Athens International Airport (ATH) and 10km from the town centre. We would recommend getting a taxi to the marina.
Looking for a quick guide to make your way around Athens? CityMapper is a great app to download, with up-to-date public transport schedules and route guidance.
Prices in Greece are similar to those in other major European destinations like France, Germany, and Italy. To help you plan your trip, here are some estimated costs:
Activities available on your trip can range from free to €60 per person. To find out more, please view here.
In the yachting industry, it is customary to tip your Skipper. If you feel that your Skipper has done an awesome job during your week onboard, please feel free to tip them at the end of the week, the industry standard is 5 – 10% of the trip cost. Similarly, it is customary to consider tipping up to 10% for a meal at restaurants throughout Croatia.
Some ports where we dock are a short trip via water taxi or transfer from the main town. On these occasions, we park there because it is not practical to dock in the main town, or regulations do not allow it. The taxi cost is usually nominal (€10 per person, one way). Please note that some services have a minimum capacity, so make sure you group together to make this as cheap as possible.
Check out the stops, activities, and highlights on board the Greece Athens Voyager Route.
All optional activities are organised and paid for during the week in the local currency.

At MedSailors, becoming a certified B Corporation reflects our commitment to using travel as a force for good. B Corp businesses meet high standards of environmental and social impact, accountability, and transparency. For us, that means continually improving how we protect the oceans we sail in and the communities we visit.
When you travel with us, you’re part of that mission too. By making a few small choices on and off the water, we can all help leave smiles — not waste. 🌊💙
One of the biggest environmental challenges facing our planet is plastic pollution — and sadly, our oceans are among the hardest hit. As a B Corp, reducing unnecessary waste is an important part of how we operate. You can help by minimising single-use plastics during your trip. Packing a reusable tote bag for shopping and saying no to pointless plastics when possible are simple steps that make a real difference.
We also ask that you bring a reusable water bottle for the trip. Small actions like these help us collectively reduce waste in the destinations we love to sail.
As part of our commitment to circular thinking, we’re giving a second life to inflatables left behind by previous guests. Through our Recycled Floatie Programme, you can pick up a lilo, ring, unicorn, or even a pineapple at check-in in exchange for a small donation. 🦄🍍
All proceeds go to UOcean, an organisation dedicated to tackling ocean plastic pollution. Their mission is to remove waste from rivers, beaches, and oceans with the goal of reducing ocean plastic by 80%. That means your floatie not only adds fun to the trip, but also supports real action to protect the waters we sail in.
Spending so much time in and around the sea means what we use on board matters. As part of our B Corp commitment to protecting marine environments, we encourage guests to bring ocean-friendly products such as eco-friendly sunscreen, soaps, and deodorants.
These products help minimise harmful chemicals entering the water and keep the ocean as clean and pristine as possible — for our marine life, our destinations, and future generations of sailors. 🌍⛵

The local payment for 2026 bookings on all yacht classes is €150 per person. Please note for private yacht bookings, the total local payment cost is based on the yacht’s full capacity.
All local payments must be paid in Euro(€) currency.
You can make this payment in advance of your holiday or at check-in using cash or the link below.

From May to October, the Greek Islands enjoy plenty of sunshine and warm temperatures, making them ideal for sailing and exploring.
May and June offer pleasant warmth, with temperatures ranging from 20°C to 30°C (68°F to 86°F), allowing for comfortable adventures before the peak summer heat arrives.
July and August bring the hottest weather, often exceeding 35°C (95°F), so be sure to take breaks in the shade, stay hydrated, and wear sun protection.
September and October see temperatures easing back to 22°C to 30°C (72°F to 86°F), offering a fantastic late-summer escape with fewer crowds and still-warm seas.
If you’re looking for perfect weather for the Greek islands and the ultimate sailing experience, the best time to visit is May to October. Early May scores you cheaper flights and tours with lower crowds and less busy marinas. Peak summer (July & August) are the sunniest and hottest months with warmer waters, a bustling atmosphere, and buzzing nightlife.
June and September bring sunshine without the larger crowds. If you’re aiming for good weather but relaxed island hopping, late June or early September are the golden times — warm waters, sunny days, and relaxed post-summer vibes. The shoulder months of May and October tend do have slightly more unpredictable weather (liquid sunshine we say) so keep that in mind when booking.
Travelling to Greece is typically easy for many travellers. Greece is in the Schengen Area, so if you’re from the UK, EU, USA, Canada, Australia, or New Zealand, you can visit Greece visa-free for up to 90 days within 180 days. If you're from other countries, check your country’s visa requirements before booking your Greek island-hopping adventure. You can always email our Trip Experts with any pre-trip questions.
Absolutely! English is widely spoken in Greece, especially in tourist hotspots like Athens or around the Saronic Islands of Aegina, Hydra, Poros, and Agistri. The Greek tourism industry is massive, and most locals working in hotels, restaurants, bars, and shops are fluent or have a good grasp of English.
However, if you venture into rural areas, tiny fishing villages, or off-the-beaten-path islands, you might find fewer English speakers. But don’t worry—Greek hospitality is legendary, and locals will always find a way to help, even if it’s through smiles, gestures, or Google Translate!
To help you explore like a local more, learning a few Greek phrases like "Kalimera" (Good morning) or "Efharisto" (Thank you) go a long way and will lead to big smiles from the locals.
Greek food is a flavour explosion—fresh, simple, and packed with Mediterranean goodness. Think gyros dripping with tzatziki, crispy spanakopita (spinach pie), grilled octopus, and juicy souvlaki skewers. Oh, and don’t skip the Greek salad (village salad)—it’s the best summer appetiser in Greece with huge chunks of feta, tomato, olives, and peppers! For dessert, try baklava (honey and nut-filled pastry) or loukoumades (Greek doughnuts).

Whether you're setting sail with MedSailors, exploring on foot, or hunting for the best sunset spots, these must-visit Greek destinations belong on your itinerary:
